Stormy skies couldn't dampen spirits at yesterday's West Indian Day Parade in Brooklyn.
Thousands of revelers packed Eastern Parkway, turning it into a kaleidoscope of floats and feathered costumes from around the Caribbean.
"I love the energy," said Marlene Henry, 51, who is of Guyanese descent. "
Winefred Gooden, 63, waving her hands in the air, said simply, "I love everything, everything."
