Not that they need the dough, but . . .
New York's politicians and celebrities — often accused of being spendthrifts — are leaving money on the table.
A Post review of the state's database of $13 billion in unclaimed funds shows that Gov. Cuomo and entertainers Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Madonna, Matthew Broderick, Jay-Z and Beyoncé are owed money from a variety of sources: including insurance companies, utility firms, the film industry and the government.
Under state law, a business after three years must report and forward unclaimed funds to state Comptroller Tom DiNapoli's office for safekeeping.
Because of privacy protections, it's unclear how much money each is owed.
Gov. Cuomo, under his Mount Kisco address, is owed funds personally from two medical insurance companies, United HealthCare and Group Health Inc. "Refunds/others amts due under policy term," both entries said.
Cuomo's campaign committee, Andrew Cuomo Inc., also is owed funds from Rent-A-Center Inc., Takeda Pharmaceuticals America, Aecom Technology and Abbott Laboratories.
It's not a pressing matter: the Cuomo campaign has a balance of more than $8 million. Cuomo's office declined to comment.
Seinfeld had a credit with Walt Disney Co. and Affiliates for "wages, payroll compensation." Rock was also owed funds from Walt Disney and ABC Inc.
Pacino is owed funds from Georgio Armani Corp. and the State of New York, which was in possession of "uncashed checks."
Under his legal name Shawn Carter, Jay-Z had money awaiting him from Sony Entertainment.
His wife, Beyoncé, also had uncashed checks from the state Tax Department and credit from Bergdorf Goodman for "unredeemed gift certificates."
Madonna can retrieve a credit from the Warner Music Group, and De Niro was owed a refund from Delta Dental of California.
Cuomo was just one among hundreds of politicians whose campaign accounts were owed money.
The list includes: Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul, Public Advocate Letitia James, Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, former Speaker Sheldon Silver and state Senate Democratic minority leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins.
DiNapoli urged the celebs and pols to give him a call.
