A $50-million-plus family art collection that spans more than a century of American history is up for auction.

Beginning Friday, items from "An American Dynasty: the Clark Family Treasures," a 400-piece collection, are on view at Christie's.

The items came from late copper heiress Huguette Clark's home at 907 Fifth Ave., Andrew McVinish, head of Christie's private and iconic collections, told The Post.

"The collection spans such a long and fantastic period of American history," McVinish said.

Clark, who died in 2011 at the age of 104, spent her last two decades as a hospital hermit, although she was relatively healthy. She even still paid for a cleaning staff to maintain her homes at the Fifth Avenue address, sources told The Post when her 14-room residence — one of three she owned there — was sold to finance guru Boaz Weinstein for $22.5 million in 2012.

The collection includes a Monet valued at between $25 million to $35 million. It was founded by Huguette's father, Sen. W.A. Clark.

Huguette — a socialite prior to her recluse years — expanded the collection, which includes Renoir, Chase and Sargent, as well as Asian art, "Gilded Age" furnishings, silver, rare books and musical instruments — including a rare Stradivarius violin.
