There isn't anything wrong with the "Seinfeld" line, "Not that there's anything wrong with that."
That's what a Manhattan judge said Monday in tossing out a defamation lawsuit filed by Kenny Kramer, the real-life inspiration for the hit sitcom's character.
Kramer sued comic Fred Stoller for writing a memoir that allegedly portrayed Kramer as a homophobe.
Stoller's book accuses guides on Kramer's Manhattan bus tour of shouting, "Not that there's anything wrong with that" throughout the historically gay-friendly neighborhood of Greenwich Village.
But Justice Barbara Jaffe noted that "The phrase expressly conveys the notion that there is nothing wrong with being gay. In that respect, it cannot be considered homophobic."
"With this decision, my client has serenity now!" winked Stoller's lawyer, David Albert Pierce, using another of the show's catchphrases.
