The family of 4-year-old girl fatally struck by a speeding SUV on the Upper West Side received a $150,000 settlement from a $40 million negligence lawsuit against the city, sources said.
Ariel Russo was walking to day care with her grandmother in June 2013 when an unlicensed teen behind the wheel fatally struck her and fled the scene.

The girl's mother said late Tuesday she was relieved that the litigation was finished.
"It was just getting too painful to keep on going," Sofia Russo told The Post.
She said the settlement was less than the amount sought because the family's argument about an ambulance delay was hampered by the fact that a bystander and not a relative had called 911.
"It was because [Ariel's grandmother, who was badly injured] didn't call 911," Russo said.
The grieving mother, however, was hopeful the tragedy would bring changes in the system.
"I'm not disappointed." she said. "It's not about the money, it's about change, in my daughter's honor. No amount of money could be more important."
