A 10-year-old girl playing in the surf at Coney Island made a shocking and potentially deadly discovery Monday afternoon, finding a loaded gun buried on the packed beach, cops said.
The kid found the 9 mm firearm under about two feet of sand near West 19th Street at 2:15 p.m., and brought it to a lifeguard, according to police.
The gun, which had a bullet in the chamber, was sent to an NYPD lab for testing, authorities said.
