She's looking for The One — not the Juan.
With the season premiere of "The Bachelorette" Monday night (ABC, 9:30 pm/Ch. 7), Atlanta-based attorney Andi Dorfman will kick off her search for love with 25 men vying for her affections. As a popular contestant on the most recent season of "The Bachelor," the 26-year-old sparked with bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis — before electing to leave of her own accord during a hilarious breakup scene during which a nonchalant Galavis would only respond with a shrug and say, "ees okay."
Hopefully, this time around, the beautiful brunette will meet her match. The show experienced a tragedy when Eric Hill, one of Dorfman's suitors, was killed April 23 in a paragliding accident. "You can imagine how much shock and devastation everyone felt," Dorfman said in a media conference call. "Our number-one goal is to honor Eric and his legacy."
The Post chatted with Dorfman about what fans can expect in this upcoming season of "The Bachelorette."
Will we get to see a lot of your father, Hy Dorfman, this season? His appearance on "The Bachelor" was a huge hit.
Yes, you'll definitely see Hy this season, and I think fans will be pretty excited to see him. I love that people love him so much. I'm not sure he knows he's such an Internet hit, to be honest, but I feel like that makes him even more endearing!
What's your idea of an ideal date?
It's definitely something simple. I love to grab a great meal and hang out and talk and have lots of wine, some dessert, nothing over-the-top. I definitely don't want to go to the movies and not talk!
You're a smart woman with a demanding career. Have you found that guys were intimidated by that?
I think some guys might be a bit intimidated by it, but I've found that way more guys were really appreciative of it and, in fact, looked for that type of woman. We're in a whole new age now, and the guys seem to be catching up to it.
What's the No. 1 way the guys can turn you off?
Cockiness. That's not going to do it for me.
What's a surefire way for them to score points?
Come in there with an amazing smile, right off the bat. If you've got a great, genuine smile on your face? I love that.
One of the best things about this most recent season of "The Bachelor" was the friendships that developed between some of the women. Will you be getting advice from them during the show?
Definitely! The one thing I took away from "The Bachelor" were some amazing girlfriends. Not just a matter of people you know for a month and then never see again — these are true, long-lasting friendships. So yes, you are definitely going to see some of those women helping me out, giving me some advice on this show!
Has "ees okay" become your new motto in love and life?
[Laughs.] Absolutely not. I can't even say those words out loud anymore!
