The maniac dad who cops said heartlessly slaughtered his wife and two adorable children was tracked down near Houston Monday night and arrested while trying to flee to his home country, sources said.
Miguel Mejias-Ramos, 28, who allegedly butchered his wife Deisy Garcia and their two daughters in their Queens apartment, was nabbed by US Marshals just before midnight, according to law-enforcement sources.
Ramos was driving in a car with New York State license plates trying to make it to Mexico, where he was born, sources said. He was found with minor wounds and taken to a hospital.
The man's 21-year-old wife and two little girls were discovered Sunday night by Garcia's uncle in their home on Sutphin Boulevard in South Jamaica.
The mom was found on the floor of one bedroom, while the girls, Danielle and Yoselin, were on a bed in another room.
All three victims had been stabbed several times, and two bloody knives were left in each of the rooms at the victims' sides, law-enforcement sources said.
Garcia's friend Diana Villa, a fellow parishioner at Iglesia Naciones Unidas en Cristo, said the mother was terrified of Mejias-Ramos.
Garcia called cops to the residence twice last year, in May and November, with domestic-violence complaints against Mejias-Ramos, police said, but he was not arrested either time.
Things became so difficult at home for Garcia, "She asked the pastor for help," Villa said.
Villa, 44, said Garcia and Mejias-Ramos argued violently at a recent baby shower that Garcia helped organize and for which she cooked.
"At the shower, he hit her in the bathroom and she cursed him out," Villa claimed, noting that he was furious because there was no beer being served at the party, which was held at the church .
"I tell her, 'Call the police — police help. But she didn't. She was illegal," Villa said of the Guatemalan immigrant.
Garcia's uncle Ramon Chuc, 37, wept Monday as he recalled walking into the bloody scene with his two sons, ages 12 and 10.
He said they had been playing soccer outside, and when they came back to the house, the boys asked where the baby was.
"Then, my 12-year-old son, Rene, went inside the room and saw my niece on the floor," said a sobbing Chuc. "After that, I . . . saw the two babies are covered with a blanket.
"I take it off and see them," Chuc said, again breaking into sobs.
Stunned members of Garcia's church described her as devoted to her daughters and to her parish.
"She was a dancer for the church,'' said Mario Sanchez, 16. "She was always very quiet — but she seemed happy. She'd always come with her little girls."
At a memorial service for the family at the church Monday night, Garcia's mother described the loss of her granddaughters.
"They were beautiful angels," she said. "My princesses."
