A Baruch College student who died from a fraternity hazing was forced to sprint blindfolded while lugging a heavy backpack toward a member shouting his name — while others tackled him.
Chun "Michael" Deng, 19, died Monday. He was repeatedly blindsided while playing the game "Glass Ceiling" on Sunday with members of the Pi Delta Psi fraternity.
His frat brothers never called 911, and they waited hours to bring their stricken pledge to a hospital more than 30 miles away, authorities said.
The Monroe County DA said Thursday he will press charges against an unknown number of fraternity members.
"Police are still going through the 'connect-the-dot' phases of this investigation," DA David Christine said. "There will be criminal charges filed."
Deng, a freshman from Queens, was one of four fraternity pledges brought to the Poconos getaway.
Doctors said he suffered major brain trauma from a series of brutal tackles while his eyes were covered and he was weighed down with a backpack full of sand during the sick game.
Christine said it's not the first time Pi Delta Psi has come to the Poconos.
"They've rented a place before in the Poconos," he said, calling it a "preplanned event where they rent a house and plan a pledging ritual."
Baruch reps said the school has a zero-tolerance policy on hazing and is also investigating.
