Frank-ly, they're still worried.
Activists fighting to keep two hot-dog vendors from being drummed out of Washington Square Park by wealthy West Villagers welcomed a Post report that the Parks Department is rethinking the evictions.
"We hope they allow those vendors to stay there," said Sean Basinski, director of the Street Vendor Project, which led a pro-dog rally in the park Sunday.
The wurst-case scenario had the vendors being run off before New Year's and left with nowhere to go. But a Parks spokesman said Saturday that officials are taking a second look "as we determine what mobile foods — including hot dogs — may be offered" at the site.
"I want to stay, of course," said Moon Mohammad, 35, a Bangladeshi immigrant whose contract to sling the treats at the park ends this month. "I applied for my family to come over here next month. If I lose business now, lose my job — big, big, big problem."
