HBO's "Eastbound & Down" ended its four-season run Sunday night. The finale swung for the fences, bringing in cameos from Alexander Skarsgård ("True Blood") and Lindsay Lohan, and a montage of the main characters' strange, hover-bike filled future.
Fans for the most part praised the final episode, some even putting it on par with the tidy bow the final "Breaking Bad" episode put on its series earlier this year.
"I'll be damned if the finale to 'Eastbound and Down' didn't get me right here. #pointingatmyheart #sniffsniff," Texas writer Adan Gutierrez tweeted.
"Eastbound" started as a vehicle for its star Danny McBride, who played a washed-up baseball pitcher. It could have remained as just a show playing for easy laughs, but also worked as a satire on second chances and the suffocating effect of the suburbs.
