Lady Gaga might not have to show her "Poker Face" in court after all.
A lawyer for the diva's disgruntled ex-assistant Jennifer O'Neill, who sued the Fame Monster, claiming she'd been ripped off for overtime, told Manhattan federal Judge Paul Gardephe in a letter on Wednesday that both sides "have been engaged in significant settlement negotiations over the past two weeks."
"We have utilized the services of an independent mediator . . . who brought us to a place where we are in agreement on the most major terms related to a settlement," lawyer Paul Millus wrote. "I am hopeful that the parties can reach a mutual agreement, thus obviating the need for a trial."
O'Neill claims that she was at Gaga's "beck and call" during the 2009-to-2011 "Monster Ball" tours — and that the singer owes her 7,168 hours of overtime and about $400,000 in damages. O'Neill was paid a flat rate of $50,000 a year when she was first hired in early 2009, and then $75,000 when hired a second time, in 2010.
Gaga's reps did not return messages.
