INSIDE THE MATCHUPS
METS: Harvey was stellar in his last outing on Wednesday, notching his second complete-game shutout of the season. He scattered four hits and struck out six in a 5-0 victory over the Rockies. Harvey's success doesn't always translate to team success, however. He has struck out 10 or more six times this season, but has only three wins in those games with three no-decisions.
DODGERS: Ryu has sparkled in his rookie season, and has been particularly good of late. He has won his last four starts and five of his last six, including his last time out, when he allowed no earned runs, five hits and struck out seven through seven innings in a 5-1 triumph over the Cardinals last Thursday.
STAT SO?
METS: Wilmer Flores is the second player this season to record a pair of three-RBI games within the first five games of his career. The other is a fellow rookie — the Dodgers' Yasiel Puig.
DODGERS: According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the red-hot Dodgers are the first NL team to win at least 37 games in 45-game stretch since the 1953 Dodgers — who played in Brooklyn.
