HERO
Titans QB Jake Locker (above), who despite being maligned for his own ineffectiveness, outclassed Jets QB Mark Sanchez by taking the game over with an impressive third-quarter drive that gave Tennessee a 14-10 lead it would not relinquish. Locker was 3-for-3 for 46 yards on that drive, which ended on a well-designed 13-yard QB keeper.
UNSUNG HERO
Titans RB Chris Johnson, who scored on a 94-yard run in the first quarter to give Tennessee a 7-3 lead. The run, which was the longest in franchise history, broke the doldrums of a first half filled with inept offense on both sides.
ZERO
Mark Sanchez, who threw four INTs and was generally in and out of sync. The picks did not end up costing the Jets, because their defense stopped the Titans offense after each. But, other than the 17-yard TD pass he threw to TE Jeff Cumberland, Sanchez simply could not muster any consistency on offense.
KEY NUMBER
24 Turnovers for Sanchez this season, the most in the NFL, after his four-interception, one-fumble debacle.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
'Guys, no questions. I'm going to tell you all the truth. This (bleep) has got to stop. Just being real.' – Jets CB Antonio Cromartie, who refused to comment further
